Bio: Mekki is a researcher in free/libre/open source strategy at the Schulich School of Business, York Unviersity. His current research focus is on free/libre/open community dynamics and the identity transformations of participants in peer production systems. Mekki holds degrees in Computer Systems Engineering, Psychology, and Technology Innovation Management from Carleton University in Ottawa. His extended research interests bridge into law, technology, policy, sociology, economics, publishing, and many other areas.
