I started OpenConcept Consulting back in 1999 after working in the non-profit sector. The business has been focused on unions & non-profits but we have worked for several government departments over the years as well.
OpenConcept has been an open source proponent and developer now for the last nine years. After having developed our own open source Content Management System (CMS) we've moved to Drupal where we are active contributors to this community.
A large and active open source community has huge advantages for security, accessibility, functionality & scalability. We are involved in promoting open source in government now and have started several initiatives around the Common Look and Feel (CLF 2.0).
We see huge opportunities for government to participate in this larger community, foster better collaboration between government departments and push for stronger standardization for everyone.
