Bio: I work for Ingres Corp. as a development architect. I've worked on Ingres since 1994, primarily in query optimization and query execution. From 1978 through 1994, I worked on the IDMS database management system, again as a development engineer. I have worked in relational database technology since 1986. I represent Ingres Corp. on the H2 (soon to become DM32.2) SQL standards committee. I've spoken at various user functions and universities around the world (North America, Europe, Australia and Asia) for many years.
