This presentation is designed to get new users started in contributing to an open source community and offers suggestions for projects to encourage new contributors. It will discuss:
- the benefits to contributing to a project (why you should be doing this if you are not already)
- how to find a community that offers the best fit
- getting started
- overcoming problems
- reducing barriers to contributions
