Come to a great event, help people, win $500

Printer-friendly version

On August 14, we're co-hosting our biggest and best event yet with IEEE. This year's speaking line-up is fantastic with even more great speakers travelling to Ottawa. The list includes Scott Chacon (Github), Aaron Seigo (KDE), Emma-Jane Hogbin (Drupal), James Westby (Ubuntu), Pete Forde (Ruby on Rails), and more. These speakers are smart, funny, and experts on the topics they are talking about. There's a dinner and pub night after the event if you're interested - this is a great way to meet the speakers and other attendees.

We have a great team of volunteers and every penny goes to making education material available - live and recorded. We're proud that we've helped people learn new skills and find jobs. This year we'd like to try and help those less fortunate. For this reason, we are donating 20% of ticket sales to Plan Canada.

If listening to experts share their knowledge, networking with developers and technology leaders in Ottawa, and helping those less fortunate is not enough, we're also raffling off $500 to one lucky winner who registers between now and July 31.

If you've already registered, no problem - for each person you tell about the event, you get another raffle ticket and thus yet another chance to win $500.

Thank you for helping us spread the word and pack the rooms for this great event. Visit the event web page and registration.
